Don’t Play Akshy ’s Picture Song “Dhadkan ” Dhadkan Badh Gayi

Brass band wallahs at the Shilpa-Raj wedding on Sunday were promptly asked to stop the music just as they started playing Shilpa’s former love Akshay Kumar’s songs
Shilpa Shetty might not have invited her ex-boyfriend Akshay Kumar for her wedding on Sunday at Lonavla, but the brass band, which was invited to play just a few minutes before her pheras, had certainly not forgotten her earlier close association with Akshay.

At around 3 pm, the bandwallahs started some popular Bollywood music by first playing a song from the Akshay Kumar-Shilpa Shetty starrer Dhadkan outside Kiran Bawa’s bungalow, which was the wedding venue. They had hardly played for a minute, when a few people (obviously instructed by the Shetty and Kundra family) came running out of the bungalow and asked them to immediately stop the band music.

An eyewitness says, “The band members were shocked and were wondering what went wrong. They looked quizzically at the people who were ordering them to stop the music of Dhadkan but all that they got in return were harsh glares. At this point they were categorically told, ‘Akshay ki film ka gaana mat bajao’.”
After that, the band members were sternly instructed by those who had told them to stop the music, to stand aside and not play until further orders. They were also told that they would have to thereafter run the list of songs they would be playing all evening, past them. The dejected band stood aside just a few metres away.
“They started playing a fresh batch of songs only around 5 pm, and this time, of course, they didn’t have any Akshay song on their list,” says the eyewitness.
“It was quite a hilarious situation. Imagine the crestfallen band on one side and the livid guys who came running out from the bungalow. We wonder what was going on in Shilpa and Raj’s mind at that moment when this incident happened,” adds the eyewitness.

Bikini Babe Lara Dutta

After Blue, Lara Dutta will flaunt her body in a bikini in “Housefull”
U nlike her film, Lara Dutta won a round of applause from everyone as she showed off her chiseled body in a bikini in Blue. And she is now cashing in on it. In her next film, Sajid Khan’s Housefull, she will show off her fabulous body in a bikini again.Lara says, “Let’s just say that there is an ocean dive in Housefull.”

Lara adds, “I didn’t have a choice about the bikini in Blue. I couldn’t possibly go underwater in a burqa, could I? I worked hard on my physique, and it did generate interest.

For Housefull, there’s a water sequence. So the swimwear is back. It’s not like I’m getting into a bikini for the heck of it.”

Tell her that her films are falling like nine pins at the box office and she is quick to defend them, “Sometimes you take a decision based on whim, and not logic.

Blue and Do Knot Disturb sounded like fun. Now I have Housefull which is a fun caper.

It gives me another chance to be a comic actor. Shooting for Housefull with my favourite actors Akshay Kumar, Ritesh Deshmukh and Boman Irani was fun.”

She was taken to the doctor who performed a series of tests on her. It was found that her hemoglobin count had gone down drastically,” says a close friend of Katrina. Model Kate Moss blasted for promoting ’skinny feels good’ motto

Controversial comments ... Kate Moss.Controversial comments … Kate Moss.

Eating disorder experts have criticised Kate Moss after the British supermodel cited as her motto a phrase used on websites that encourage girls to avoid eating.

In an interview with the fashion web site WWD, Moss said one of her mottos was “nothing tastes as good as skinny feels”.

The same slogan is posted on websites encouraging girls not to eat.

But Moss’s modelling agency says the comment has been misrepresented.

“This was part of a longer answer Kate gave during a wider-ranging interview, which has unfortunately been taken out of context and completely misrepresented,” the agency said in a statement

“For the record, Kate does not support this as a lifestyle choice.”

In the interview, Moss adds: “That’s one of them. You try and remember, but it never works,” the BBC reported on its website.

Mary George of British eating-disorder charity Beat called Moss’s words “very unfortunate”.

“Comments like this make it even more difficult” for young people struggling with an eating disorder,” she said.

Model Katie Green, who is campaigning to stop the use of ultra-thin “size zero” models, told The Sun newspaper the comments were “shocking and irresponsible”.

“If you read any of the pro-anorexia websites they go crazy for quotes like these,” Green said.

Among the websites that use the motto is one called Starving For Control, The Sun says.

“I think Kate Moss should really have thought before she spoke, like most of us do before giving interviews,” she said, quoted by the BBC.

“Kate is a mother herself and how would parents with children suffering from eating disorders feel reading something like this?

“We are trying to get the government to put something in place to stamp out size zero models and comments like this aren’t doing anything to help that.”

The fashion industry has been criticised for using so-called “size zero” models – those who fit a US size zero – particularly after the deaths of two South American women who had suffered from eating disorders.

Moss, 35, is famous for her waif-like look, which helped spur a trend for super-thin models in the 1990s.

“Kate Moss is talking out of her size zero backside,” The Sun quoted British television presenter Denise Van Outen as saying.

“Having been in the industry for so long, she knows the impact her comments will have on vulnerable young women,” Van Outen said, according to a report on The Sun’s website.

“Shilpa Shetty Kundra”

Bollywood actress Shilpa Shetty, best known for winning the British version of television show Celebrity Big Brother, married in a lavish ceremony in western India on Sunday.

Shetty, 34, wed London-based businessman Raj Kundra in Khandala, a hill resort near Mumbai, with friends, family and showbusiness colleagues attending the Hindu service and all-night celebrations.

The Indian actress became famous outside of her home country when she won the reality TV show in 2007 after being subjected to allegedly racial comments from fellow contestant Jade Goody.

Shetty has not broken through into major film roles, but she has remained one of Bollywood’s most talked-about and photographed figures.

“This is it!” she wrote on her blog early Sunday, describing how her life had “been turned upside down, inside out in the past week as the marriage is nearing.”

“All is in order, friends and family have got together,” she said, adding that she looked forward to meeting fans under her new name “Shilpa Shetty Kundra”.

With her acting career stuck in slow gear, Shetty has turned entrepreneur – launching perfume brands, filming yoga videos and investing in restaurants and health spas.

But she told the Times of India in an interview on Sunday that she now has domestic ambitions too.

“This is my dream wedding. We plan to shuttle between Mumbai and London after marriage. I shall strive to be as successful at home as I am outside. I want to excel as a homemaker,” she said.

Shetty also tackled criticism that she was marrying a millionaire divorcee.

“Let’s be positive. Raj is experienced and hopefully won’t make the same mistakes again,” she said, adding that “we are used to a certain lifestyle and it’s practical to choose a spouse who can at least match those luxuries, if not more.”

“There’s nothing wrong in looking forward to a comfortable life. But money isn’t everything. Raj and I connect on a different level,” she said.

Eva blasts critics for objecting to her lingerie ad

London: Hollywood actress Eva Mendes has blasted religious critics for tagging her Calvin Klein lingerie ad as raunchy. She insists the semi-naked poster is ‘tasteful and beautiful’ and not otherwise.

Imdb.com reports that the actress’ latest ad for the fashion firm raised eyebrows, particularly a poster in downtown New York City that shows the half-naked star sprawled across an entire city block. Critics protested and wanted the poster pulled down, but Mendes insists they’re wrong in their approach. “It’s a religious group that has a problem with the image. That’s what I love about this country. We can voice our opinions and beliefs like that. But they’re wrong. I don’t think I’m traumatising any children. I think it’s a really tasteful and beautiful ad,” she said.
